Care & Washing Instructions
At Too Many Humans, we create garments designed to stand the test of time, but to keep them looking fresh, it’s all about the right care. Here’s how to treat your TMH gear to make sure it stays as bold and comfortable as the day you first wore it.
General Care Instructions for All Garments:
- Wash inside out to protect the fabric and preserve the print.
- Use mild detergent for the best care.
- Do not bleach—your TMH gear deserves the best treatment.
- Avoid soaking, rubbing, or wringing to keep the fabrics intact.
- Wash with like-colored garments to maintain color integrity.
- Hang dry or tumble dry at a low temperature (max 30℃ or 90℉) to prevent damage and fading.
- Avoid direct sunlight while drying to preserve color.
Fabric-Specific Care:
Cotton Garments (Boxy, Oversized, Classic, and Long Sleeve Tees, Hoodies, Crop Top):
Our cotton pieces are made to breathe while offering durability. To keep them in top condition:
- Pre-shrunk for a consistent fit—just follow the care instructions and they’ll stay true to size.
- Soft cotton with a clean, comfortable feel: To keep that softness intact, avoid over-drying and opt for air drying or low-heat tumble drying.
Recycled Polyester (Long Sleeve Sports Jersey):
Made from cutting-edge recycled materials, this fabric offers both performance and style:
- Wash inside out in cold water with mild detergent.
- Tumble dry on low or air dry. Polyester can handle a little more heat, but keep it low to avoid any damage.
- Slight floating color may occur during initial wash—this is normal for recycled fabric.
Additional Notes:
- GSM Fabric: The weight of the fabric, known as GSM, determines the feel and thickness of your garment. Higher GSM = heavier, thicker fabric; lower GSM = lighter, more breathable material.
- Faded Effect Garments: Some of our pieces are intentionally distressed or washed to give a vintage feel. These designs naturally fade over time, adding to their character.
- Special Features: Garments with thumb holes, high-low hems, and other unique details require special care to ensure they maintain their shape and function.
